The objective of the Sustainable Forest Management Programme (Programme de Gestion Durable des Forêts, PGDF) is to create the conditions for sustainable management of the DRC's forests by: i) contributing to improved governance, ii) developing policy in a participatory and transparent manner, iii) contributing to the structuring of the artisanal timber sector, iv) promoting the emergence of forests managed sustainably by communities or territorial authorities, and v) guaranteeing the management of industrial forest concessions in accordance with national legislation. SOFRECO is supporting the Ministry of the Environment and Sustainable Development in the implementation of the PGDF in Kinshasa and five provinces: Mai Ndombe, Equateur, Mongala, Tshopo, Ituri and Kisangani.

The Knowledge Hub for expertise on Youth provides expertise and knowledge to EC HQ services and EU Delegations worldwide in the area of youth in external action (youth participation an empowerment, as well as youth specific issues in sectoral policies). The Hub supports sector-specific policies and the formulation of actions in the area of youth and provides support on the implementation of the Youth Action Plan as well as on the management of the Youth Sounding Board for international partnerships. The Hub is a flexible mechanism which provides on demand expertise to EC staff worldwide, and to a certain extent, to Member States’ staff.

This action supports the implementation and coordination of the EU programmes in Timor Leste and enhances the partnership and development cooperation. Specifically, it: (i) supports the improvement of the coordination of the EU cooperation strategies, (ii) enhances the capacity of line ministries to ensure effective implementation of EU strategies, policies and projects, and (iii) increases the capacity of all relevant stakeholders to develop actions in the framework of the Global Gateway and the Indo-Pacific Strategy.

The joint donor initiative, Capacity for Nutrition (C4N), is a component of the K4N programme. C4N aims to provide support to the EC and EU Delegations (DEU) in building nutrition-related programmes and policies that are evidence-based in their formulation and implementation. Our services consist of technical advisory support to INTPA F3 and the EU Delegations in West Africa on the following topics: i) integration of nutrition into national health and agricultural policies, ii) leadership and governance of nutrition at the regional level, and iii) improved and quality data and analyses for the development and implementation of effective nutrition policies.

The objective of the project is to reinforce EU-India cooperation on trade, innovation and digitalisation in line with mutually agreed priorities.
Under Component 1, the project supports the three streams of EU-India negotiations (a Free Trade Agreement, a Geographical Indications Agreement and an Investment Protection Agreement). The support is provided through sectoral studies, stakeholder consultations, communication, policy advocacy, technical/legal analysis of market access barriers, etc., as well as via the support to the establishment of an EU-India Chamber of Commerce. Under Component 2, the project supports the Trade and Technology Council and the Connectivity Partnership. The action assists in mapping the Indian needs and matching European offers in priority sectors and developing tools to facilitate assessment and access to the Indian markets for European incubators, accelerators and small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The project also aims to design and create a sustainable and effective online platform connecting the two ecosystems.

The aim of the Technical Cooperation Facility (TCF) is to increase the effectiveness of the EU Delegation and its partners in implementing current and future EU cooperation programmes in Tunisia.
The specific objectives of this contract are as follows: (i) Strengthen the various phases of the cooperation project cycle (including the formulation, identification, implementation and monitoring of programmes and projects), (ii) Strengthen political dialogue (and sectoral political dialogue) between the EU and Tunisia, (iii) Strengthen the capacity of line ministries and other stakeholders to implement and monitor programmes, and (iv) Facilitate the coordination and visibility of the Team Europe Initiatives (TEI) and other joint initiatives.
