University degree (minimum MSc.) in Agriculture,
Agro-economics, small and medium enterprises or cooperatives and social
enterprise business administration.

A minimum of twelve
(12) years of relevant professional experience, out of which five (5)
years of relevant experience in at least two (2) similar Value Chain /
Fair-trade development programmes.
·
Strong expertise in SME development and agricultural sector
structural issues and an in-depth knowledge of the agricultural cooperative and
social enterprise development using a value chain approach for a minimum of
five (5) years.
·
Demonstrated ability to streamline value/supply chains
engaging in PPPs and fair-trade driven interventions. Experience in working
with NGOs/CSO/Communities and in mobilising CSR funding through PPPs for a
minimum of one (1) year.
·
Experience with research & extension services,
crop/livestock production and crop marketing and strengthening farmer
clusters/associations for a minimum of one (1) year.
·
Experience in
developing food quality systems and safety practices based on requirements at
the levels of production, processing and marketing for a minimum of one (1)
year.
·
Experience in developing or implementing agro-ecological
systems is considered an asset.
·
Experience with do-no-harm approaches and moving from
post-conflict to development issues; for at least one (1) year.
· Experience with mainstreaming gender equality and women’s
empowerment, social inclusion, environmental and nutrition safeguards in
economic development programmes, is considered and asset.
· Work experience in the Philippines in the
agriculture/social enterprise development sectors is considered an asset.
