Valuation of the Yaou and Dorlin gold mines (2017)
The objective of SOFRECO’s mission was to prepare a Scoping Study (in accordance with the JORC) for the mining of the Yaou and Dorlin deposits.
Auditing and validating the resources and reserves statement - 2017 (2017-2018)
Independent technical support in order to audit and validate the 2017 updated JORC compliant Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE1) and Mineral Reserves Estimate (MRE2) for the Al Jalamid Phosphate deposit.
Training sessions in the mining sector - Institutional Capacity Building Project for Government Effectiveness (2017-2018)
The objective of this project is to build the capacity of MEM agents through training sessions tailored to the identified needs. This involves analysing the training needs, developing training modules adapted to these needs and carrying out the training. The ToR also specify that recommendations must be made in terms of continuing training and curricula reform.
Project Management Services for the Al Khabra phosphate mine (2014-2018)
Project Management Consultancy (PMC) and support for the opening of the Al Khabra phosphate mine whose production is 15 Mt ROM per year.
MWSPC comprises a phosphate mine, beneficiation plant, sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, purified phosphoric acid, sodium tri-polyphosphate (STPP) and di-calcium phosphate (DCP) plants in Umm Wu’al, northern Saudi Arabia, and ammonia, NPK and di ammonium phosphate (DAP) production plants in Ras Al Khair, in the Arabian Gulf.
Validation and sign-off of 2017 Mineral Resources & Ore Reserves for the Al Khabra Phosphate Mine (2017-2018)
Review and sign-off of a Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves (R&R) estimate for the Al Khabra mine located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Mining plan for deposit B6 (2013-2014)
This assignment’s objective was to evaluate the resources of the B6 phosphate deposit and the amenability of ore in the Wa'ad Al Shammal processing plant.
The study included fieldwork (coring, sampling, logging) and analysis of the results.
Global resource estimation in compliance with JORC Code (2012) for phosphate deposits in Northern Saudi Arabia (2013-2014)
The objective of the assignment is to provide a resource estimation in compliance with the JORC Code (2012) for:
- Area A (Jalamid) comprising 11 blocks (A1 – A11)
- Area B (Umm Wu’al) comprising 20 blocks (B1 – B20)
- Jalamid mine area and easement
- Al Khabra mine area and B6.
Study for the Institutional Reform of the Oil & Gas Sector (2012)
Oil & gas exploration works in Mali have reached an advanced stage. Further to the first encouraging results, the Mali government decided to look into the setting-up of a national oil & gas company as well as one or several entities that would be in charge of the definition and implementation of a national strategy for the petroleum and hydrocarbons sector.
SOFRECO assisted the government in achieving this goal; our team developed an appropriate institutional framework for the management of the different aspects of the oil & gas sector.
