The Competitiveness Support System in Cameroon (DACC) aims to strengthen Cameroon's economy and jobs creation by improving the competitiveness of the private sector and the capacity of enterprises to integrate into regional and international value chains, and take advantage of new trade agreements such as the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA). The support is demand driven and is being implemented directly by a long term TA/PMU team and by short term technical experts, mainly through institutional capacity building of Intermediary Organisations representing the private sector. |

The general objective of the project is to contribute to reducing poverty in rural areas, aiming to promote household food security, and to improve the socio-economic situation of poor rural populations through encouraging self-reliance activities. The programme has four main components: Component A: production of seeds; Component B: support to the economic activities of women and awareness raising on HIV/AIDS; Component C: rural and community infrastructures; Component D: coordination and management of the programme. |

Improved Governance and Accountability in the Education Sector in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (2015-2020) |
The overall objective of this project is to improve governance and responsibility in the education sector in DR Congo. The expected result is a better quality public education service. The project aims to provide support to the DR Congo Government in its efforts to improve governance and accountability in the education sector. It is expected that this activity - activity 2 of the joint DFID/USAID education programme - will help to achieve said programme’s objective of ‘Improving the educational results of girls and boys in selected educational provinces of DR Congo’. |
| Independent audit of the FLEGT timber legality assurance system in Congo (2022-2025) |
The project aims to ensure the compliance of the timber legality assurance system (TLAS) for timber produced in the Republic of Congo with the requirements of the Voluntary Partnership Agreement of the Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade (FLEGT VPA) in order to contribute to the strengthening and improvement of forest governance in favour of sustainable and more transparent management of natural resources in the Republic of Congo. |
| Technical assistance in support of public finance governance in the Republic of Congo (2010-2015) |
This project is part of the Governmental Action Plan for Public Finance Management, which covers the complete budget cycle: authorisation, application and control of the implementation of finance laws. It aims to improve the general Congolese public finance management system in a sustainable fashion, through three components. The objective of the first two components is to strengthen the entire expenditure chain and the quality of the information system, by tackling control and accounting respectively. The third component concerns revenue and deals with customs issues. |
| Technical Assistance in support of public finance management reforms, Cameroon (2019-2024) |
The general objective of the project was to provide Cameroon with a transparent and efficient public finance management (PFM) system that complies with international standards, respects the legal and regulatory prerogatives and attributions of institutions and administrations, as well as those of other PFM actors, and resolutely places public finances at the service of the country's development and the well-being of its citizens. The project consisted of: - institutional and organisational support to strengthen internal and external controls in order to improve the accountability of public institutions through more efficient and coherent oversight bodies at the level of: • judicial oversight, by the Chamber of Auditors and the High Council of the State, • parliamentary oversight, and • administrative oversight; - institutional and organisational support to strengthen tax policy and administration in order to broaden the non-oil tax base. |

Cartography of the water supply networks in the city of Enugu (2021-2025) |
The objective of this mission is to provide a cartography of the water supply networks in the city of Enugu in Nigeria, based on an inventory of the existing water supply network and of its infrastructures by means of field investigations. After having defined a GIS suitable to the type of data and users, establishment of a mapping/cartography of the inventory in a GIS (on QGIS software), and provision of support to ESWC staff through training and periodic technical assistance to enable the efficient use of the GIS. |
