Preparing irrigation and drainage system development in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (2020-2023)
The project will support rehabilitation and modernization of the irrigation and drainage networks serving about 23,230 ha of land in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) of Azerbaijan. The project will also help strengthen institutional capacity of the irrigation system management and operators. The project will include two indicative outputs: (i) irrigation and drainage infrastructure improved and/or constructed; and (ii) capacity of the Amelioration and Water Management Open Joint-Stock Company (AWMC) and water users associations (WUAs) in irrigation and project management improved.

Agricultural Marketing and Brand Development (2011-2013)
The objective of this project is to provide assistance to selected enterprises in terms of agricultural marketing and brand development in niche markets with a view to developing premium brands for Mongolian agricultural products and to develop partnerships with foreign brands.
The project also aims to set up the foundations for a brand development agency whose objective would be to help enterprises develop original and collaborative brands in the long term.

Assistance in negotiations of gas trading agreement within the Regional Gas Transmission Improvement Project (2005)
The ADB is currently preparing financial assistance for the rehabilitation of 30% of a 79km gas transmission pipeline from the border of Tajikistan with Uzbekistan to Dushanbe. Until now, gas sale volumes and prices have been negotiated and agreed by the governments of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan on an annual basis. To make the proposed project profitable, a long-term gas sale/purchase contract agreeable to both the governments of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan needs to be developed.
