The proposed Team Leader will support operational management of the intervention and facilitate and coordinate a smooth and timely implementation of the programme including identifying the need for and the mobilisation of the other key and non- key experts. He/she will initiate, facilitate and monitor the change processes supported under the three results areas. He/she will be responsible for reporting to the programme management bodies and the PSC Secretariat. He/she will also be responsible for liaison with the NAO, EU Delegation and other Afikepo stakeholders through the Director for Nutrition and Imprest Administrator ensuring quality and timeliness of their deliverables.Apart from overall coordination, management and administrative issues, the Expert will be responsible for ensuring timely and quality deliverables from other experts (e.g. nutrition curricula reviews, development, piloting and implementation, development of nutrition training guidelines and training implementation, M&E system development and operational research, development of inter-sectoral communication strategy and visibility and communication plan on nutrition, and support to DNCC Capacity development).
The Expert will be involved over the entire programme period and will work in a team of three experts, which consists of a team leader and other experts with focus on specific technical areas.
The duration of assignment for the key expert is estimated at a minimum of 600 working days over 42 calendar months. The key expert must be independent and free from conflicts of interest in the responsibilities they take on.
