SOFRECO has received invitation from the Myanmar's Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation (MOALI) to submit a proposal for the Agricultural Development Unit (ADU).
This consultancy is part of the Irrigated Agriculture Inclusive Development Project (IAIDP) and financed by the French Development Agency (AFD). It aims at supporting the agricultural development in two large irrigation perimeters of the central dry zone, especially through the setting up and running of "Frontline centers" that are one-stop support desk for farmers. The topics to be covered are: good agricultural practices, climate-smart approach, market information, post-harvest water management in tertiary network, quality seed supply.
This consultancy is expected to start in January 2020 and will be divided into two stages :
· Stage 1 : Feasibility study and detailed design of the Output 1 activities : 8 months ;
• Stage 2 : Technical assistance to the DOA to implement the Output 1 activities : 5 years.
SOFRECO is currently looking to identify experts who are qualified for- and interested in working as Key Experts in this consultancy.
The Architect engineer (national from Myanmar) will work during approx. 8 person-months between 2020 and 2021. He/she will be responsible for detailed architectural design of the "Frontline Centers" in accordance with the implementation arrangements to operate these centers, including coordinating with other disciplines such as structural, electrical-mechanical, sanitary designs to complete the detailed design drawings and technical specifications including cost estimates and construction schedule.
