Subject/Subject Group Expert (STEM Education) , Georgia (Tbilissi)

(Pre qualification phase)

The consulting services under this Worl Bank Funded assignment will focus on a range of activities and deliverables that have the overall objective of building the capacity of the state universities in Georgia and MES to implement modern academic programs for preparing the teachers, with special emphasis at the level of basic and secondary education.

A. Advanced university degree in Education or in related field;

B. 7 years of relevant experience in teacher education program design with special emphasis on STEM curriculum, materials development and delivery, system planning and capacity building;

C. 5 years of experience implementing similar assignments internationally or within the international collaboration projects;

D. Experience in working with government agencies and other stakeholders engaged in education improvement, policy planning and implementation;

E. Familiarity with the local context will be an asset;

F. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are essential;

G. Prior knowledge of and work experience in the education sector in EU/UK or US will be an advantage.
