This technical assistance to ANASA aims to support the implementation of component 1 of the Support to agricultural statistics and land (ASAF) programme, i.e., ‘to support Guinea in the relaunch/redevelopment of sustainable statistical information systems in the rural sector'. The specific objectives (SO) are: SO1: Institutional strengthening of the sector’s structures and coordination; SO2: Establishment of the methodological bases for regular, quality statistical production; SO3: Establishment of the sector’s baselines through the development of the National Agriculture and Livestock Census (RNAE); SO4: Relaunch/establishment of a system for annual business and consumer surveys. |
| Mid-term evaluation of the Programme to strengthen the resilience of vulnerable urban and rural communities in Mauritania or the SAFIRE Programme (food security, training, insertion, resilience and employment) (2021) |
This mid-term evaluation intended to analyse the results of the Programme since its inception, following the six DAC evaluation criteria and that of EU added value. The SAFIRE Programme ( food security, training, insertion, resilience and employment) is divided into three components, respectively (i) Community and institutional resilience for the economic and social insertion of young people and women in Nouakchott, Hodh El Chargui and Hodh El Gharbi, (ii) a socio-professional integration programme for the employment of young people and women in Nouakchott, Gorgol and Guidimakha, and (iii) a support project for the economic and social inclusion and employment stability of young people in Mauritania, in Nouakchott, Brakna, Trazra and Gorgol. Each of the three components was supported by a consortium (lead organisations: OXFAM, French Red Cross and GRET). In total, 14 NGOs were involved in the implementation of the activities, coordinated by an inter-consortium team of three persons. |

| Technical Assistance on the National Information Platforms for Nutrition (NIPN) of Niger - Capacity for Nutrition Programme (C4N) (2022-2025) |
The overall objective of the National Information Platforms for Nutrition (NIPN) is to contribute to the reduction of undernutrition. The primary goal of the NIPN is to build the capacity to analyse data for assessing progress, informing policy and improving nutrition programmes. In particular, the NIPN aims to establish relationships between nutrition indicators and any investments made in nutrition in order to better understand and guide strategic nutrition policy choices and priorities. The technical assistance provides support on the needs assessment, the integration of nutrition-sensitive sectors into nutrition policies and advocacy and capacity building in statistical and data analysis. |

The assignment consisted of training 12 people from various Senegalese institutions (Ministry of Energy, Oil and Mines, the Energy Sector Regulatory Commission, Senelec and MCA Senegal II) on the theme of ''Leadership and Change Management''. The aim of the five-day course was to enhance participants' skills and theoretical and technical knowledge in the area of change management. |
| Economic and Financial Feasibility Study of the National Programme for the Development of Plantations and Field Crops (2021-2022) |
In the framework of the implementation of the agricultural component of the Government’s Action Programme, a decision was taken to develop large-scale farming by implementing modern techniques for the production and use of perennial cash crops. The programme must meet the two-fold objective of optimising the development of farmland and attracting national or international investors to increase national added value. The feasibility study must assess the costs and returns of the programme, evaluate its constraints and propose solutions thereto, and finally, propose operating arrangements that meet the government’s objectives. |
