Preparing irrigation and drainage system development in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (2020-2023)
The project will support rehabilitation and modernization of the irrigation and drainage networks serving about 23,230 ha of land in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) of Azerbaijan. The project will also help strengthen institutional capacity of the irrigation system management and operators. The project will include two indicative outputs: (i) irrigation and drainage infrastructure improved and/or constructed; and (ii) capacity of the Amelioration and Water Management Open Joint-Stock Company (AWMC) and water users associations (WUAs) in irrigation and project management improved.

EIDHR Evaluation on the Abolition of Death Penalty projects (2006-2007)
Support to the European Commission to improve the impact of the EIDHR (European Initiative for Democracy and Human Rights) projects supporting civil society activities aiming at the abolition of the death penalty, by strengthening the Commission’s ability to draw on lessons learnt from past and ongoing interventions for future planning, programming and project identification.
Assessment of the effectiveness and relevance of the EIDHR funded projects in support of the implementation of the EU guidelines and policy on the death penalty.

Railway Electrification Project Corridor 2 (Bukhara-Miskin-Urgench-Khiva) (2023-2027)
The project aims to electrify the existing railway line between Bukhara, Miskin, Urgench, and Khiva, enabling high-speed passenger trains to operate and significantly reducing travel time from 8 hours (on road transport) to 3. The objective is to connect key tourist destinations like Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva by high-speed rail, boosting Uzbekistan's appeal as a tourism destination. Outputs include: 1) upgrading railway infrastructure along the line, and 2) developing the tourism corridor from Bukhara to Khiva.

Evaluation of the Poverty Reduction Scheme in Central Asia (2007)
This evaluation aimed to improve the European Commission’s poverty reduction scheme in Central Asia. More specifically, the project aimed to review the aid provided by the EC to Central Asia (Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan) in the form of a poverty reduction scheme within the framework of the TACIS programme. The period under analysis was from 2002 to date. Recommendations for the future programme's design and implementation were made taking into account the compliance with the new Development and Cooperation Instrument.
