Detailed diagnosis of the resource efficiency of two sugar mills in Pakistan to reduce energy and water use, minimise waste, and deploy climate-smart technologies, while strengthening their bottom lines.
The method to be applied is a comparative analysis using the industry’s best and average benchmarks and resulting in a quantification of the gaps in both physical and monetary terms. The analysis will be based on the data collected and processed, along with on-site visits, high-level balances and the Consultant’s experience and expertise.

Advice and technical assistance to the government of Tunisia in the definition of a privatisation strategy for the CST:
1. Study of different alternatives and identification of the best option for the restructuring-privatisation;
2. Preparation and implementation of a marketing strategy;
3. Finalisation of the restructuring-privatisation until the effective handing over of the yeast factory.

The aims of the EU-financed Private Sector Development in Lebanon Project (PSD) are to contribute to Lebanon’s economic development and job creation by enhancing the productivity and competitiveness of the agribusiness and wood processing value chains of the private sector with a focus on vulnerable groups.
SOFRECO is in charge of providing technical assistance to the wood processing sector in Tripoli (PSD Component 2), whose major objectives are to contribute to regional economic development, create jobs, and enhance the competitiveness of the wood processing sector in Tripoli.
