Technical assistance for the coordination of EU-funded interventions in Borno State (2018-2022)
The overarching objective of the programme is to contribute to resilient and sustainable peace in the State of Borno, in line with the Nigerian government’s strategy as laid out in the Buhari Plan of June 2016.
This programme foresees the recruitment of a Technical Assistance Team to improve the coordination of EU-funded actions in Borno State and enhance the capacity of the Triple R Ministry of Borno State in its day-to-day activities and in its relations with the development/humanitarian community in the State. Specific attention will be placed on the transition from short-term relief aid to long term development.
Generally speaking, this TAT will aim to: a) act as a facilitator with major stakeholders such as the EU Delegation in Abuja and ongoing EU-funded programmes in the State, and b) reinforce the capacity of the Triple R Ministry. This TAT will further develop ties with ongoing EU programmes, especially the 9 EU-funded resilience programmes launched in January 2018. Other relevant interventions by development partners will also come into consideration.
The TAT will work in close coordination with the Programme Steering Committee, which will oversee strategic matters, and the Technical Implementation Committee which will focus on coordination and technical issues.

Setting up facilities to support young people and civil society, capacity strengthening, and developing an observatory function in respect of youth policies (2016-2019)
Objective: support the Algerian government in its national policy to support young people and their job prospects and integration, as well as to assist civil society’s efforts to improve measures to take account of young people in society.
Services delivered: institutional capacity building (training, study trips, work placements, advisory-support), creation and activation of pilot structures (local cross-sector 'one-stop-shops') for the socio-economic integration of young people from 16-35 years old; creation and activation of pilot structures (regional pools of associative resources and experts) to support and build the capacity of civil society in respect of young people.

Technical assistance for the implementation of the Programme to Support Public Finance Reform - Institutional Component (2015-2021)
This contract is part of the Programme to Support Public Finance Reform (PARFIP), and in particular, aims to build the MEF's institutional capacities in carrying out its assignments and implementing reforms. It is a 36-month project that began in April 2015 and will support the Technical Programme Monitoring Unit in coordinating, steering and implementing the reforms. It will also involve carrying out a training programme for all MEF staff involved in budgetary implementation. In order to raise the various stakeholders’ awareness on the stakes of the reforms, a communication strategy will be prepared and implemented. To ensure the successful achievement of this work, one key expert will be provided as well as 990 days of short-term expertise.
