| Strengthening the International Tax Training Centre (1996-1999) |
Technical assistance and training engineering for the Ministry of Taxes and for the ITTC (International Tax Training Centre), set up in 1993 by the Federal Tax Administration, the OECD and the European Union. This Centre aims to put western experience at the service of the Russian tax administration to ensure sustainable know-how transfer. It coordinates the multiple training initiatives of the donors aiming to support Russia's tax reform. The project's long-term objective was to support the Russian government's efforts to establish effective revenue collection and compliance mechanisms. The Consultant was tasked with the Centre's management and providing high quality training in cooperation with other stakeholders represented in the steering committee (USAID, OECD, World Bank, IMF, Canada, Sweden, Denmark, etc). |

The overall objectives of the Institutional Support Project (ISP) to Vietnam are to support ongoing reforms towards transparent and accountable governance based on the rule of law, thus contributing to the implementation of the Poverty Reduction and Growth Strategy.
