Evaluation of the progress of the Support Programme for the Implementation of the Association Agreement (AA) between the EU and Morocco aiming to support the Moroccan administration's efforts to ensure the implementation of all components of the AA, by providing it with the expertise, technical assistance and working tools necessary to fulfil the objectives and satisfy the obligations set out in the AA.
Support for the implementation of the Partnership and Co-operation Agreement (PCA) between the EU and Azerbaijan Phase III (2006-2008)
Support for the implementation of the Partnership and Co-operation Agreement (PCA) between the EU and Azerbaijan, Phase III. Technical assistance for the PCA’s implementation: building capacity within the administration to identify priority sectors for the implementation of the trade, economic and commercial provisions of the PCA; assisting with legislative and administrative reforms and with approximation with EU legislation in the PCA fields; and assisting with accession to the WTO.
EU Support to Competition and State Aid (2006-2008)
The objective of the assistance, within the framework of the long-term partnership between BiH and the European Union, was to contribute to progress in the Stabilisation and Association process and foster institutional development and economic growth in BiH. More specifically, the project aimed at developing the government’s capacity to regulate competition and design, monitor and control a State Aid system, hence improving the functioning of the BiH single market in harmony with the EU, leading to greater trade and investment within BiH.

Drafting the terms of reference for amendments to the trade laws (2002-2003)
Design and drafting of the EUR 1 million CARDS project, “Technical Assistance for the Drafting of Trade Laws”, aimed at supporting progress towards a market economy and trade liberalisation. In-depth analysis of trade laws and proposal of amendments to laws in force or of new laws and regulations, with a view to approximation with EU legislation and in compliance with WTO regulations.
Anti Monopoly and State Aid Control (2002-2003)
Improvement of the implementation and enforcement of competition law and state aid control, and furthering the legal reform in the fields of state aid and competition law by the increasing awareness and understanding of state intervention in the economic life of enterprises and by bringing the legislation closer to European competition principles and guidelines.
Measures to develop the capacity of the Cyprus VAT service to apply the acquis communautaire (2002-2003)
Within the framework of preparation for the country’s integration into the European Union, legal, administrative and operational capacity building of the VAT service to apply the acquis communautaire; improvement of the collection and control of VAT revenue in compliance with EU standards.
