Support for the implementation of a project on vocational training centres providing non-agricultural training in rural areas (2014-2024)
This project for the creation of vocational training centres (CFMs) providing non-agricultural training in rural areas of Cameroon, is directly in line with the national priorities of the DSCE 2010-2020 (Strategy Document for Growth and Employment) in terms of strengthening the offer and quality of vocational training in the regions of Cameroon. The priority sectors for the training centres will be jobs supporting agricultural production (food processing and export, maintenance of agricultural machinery, etc.), building and civil engineering-transport, the energy sector, and information and communication technologies. These strategic areas must contribute to the employment strategy which is based on three main lines: increasing the offer of decent employment throughout the country in order to keep people, and especially young people, in the country, (ii) aligning the demand for employment through diversification of the training offer, and (iii) improving the efficiency of the market to create closer ties between businesses and job seekers.
