Tailor-made training with individual coaching on ''Ministerial steering of public policies'' (2023) |
The assignment involved individual coaching for the Secretary General of the Comoros Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, the Environment, Tourism and Handicrafts on the subject of ''Ministerial management of public policies''. In each country, governments draw up and publish a medium-term strategic document setting out the main objectives to be achieved in terms of economic and social development. This document is broken down into ''sectoral public policies'', which are implemented by the various ministries in their respective fields. Consequently, in application of the principles of results-based management (RBM), the senior managers of the ministries are responsible for guiding, steering and evaluating the day-to-day action of their administration in the service of "public policies", and the aim of this training was to build the capacity of this official in these key areas. |

Over a period of 10 days, participants strengthened their capacity to effectively utilize monitoring and evaluation tools.

At a time when the imperatives of efficiency and effectiveness of public organisations are increasing, it is essential for them to move from personnel administration to the planned management of human resources in all its dimensions. With this in mind, this training course offered the techniques and language keys essential to the gradual development of the planned management of employment and skills. |

The assignment consisted of training senior executives from the General Directorate of the Treasury and the Brazzaville City Hall (Republic of Congo) on the theme: Legal, fiscal and financial management of a local authority. Over ten days, the participants strengthened their capacities in order to acquire a command of the legal, fiscal and financial framework of a local authority, a command of the tools and methods necessary for the good management of a local authority, as well as knowledge of the components of decision-making. |
| Capacity building on renewable energy project development and funding for Zambian financial institutions (2023) |
The objective of the assignment is to build the capacity of selected local commercial banks, institutional investors, and the Zambian financial industry for its enhanced understanding on renewable energy financing. The specific objectives of this assignment are to provide training and workshops to enhance knowledge and capacity in the following areas: Deals origination, funding structures, project appraisals, financing and investment/credit policy, risk management, environmental and social impact studies (E&S), legal structuring and technical due diligence. |
